A skill says a tool is missing, or a new skill doesn’t seem to work
Why it happens. Claude keeps the list of your website’s tools from when you connected it. Tools that came with a plugin update stay hidden until the list is refreshed.
- In Claude, click Customize, then Connectors, and choose your website’s connector.
- Open the three-dot menu and click Refresh tools list.
- Start a new chat and run the skill again.
- Still missing? Disconnect the connector and connect it again. If it’s still missing after that, update HowToAI School Connector on your website.
A scheduled run stops and waits, or Claude asks yes for every step
Why it happens. Claude asks before each tool until you allow it. A scheduled run has nobody there to say yes, so it waits and builds nothing.
- In Claude, click Customize, then Connectors, and choose your website’s connector.
- Set its tools to Always allow.
- Or run the skill once yourself and press Always allow on each box that appears.
Team status says an employee has stopped working
Why it happens. No run has been logged for longer than the employee’s schedule. Its scheduled task in Claude may be paused or missing.
- On Team status, click Set schedule in the bar.
- Copy the message, open Claude and paste it. Claude sets the scheduled task up again.
- The bar goes away by itself after the employee’s next run. See When an employee stops working.
You uploaded an update but the old skills still run
Why it happens. An old chat keeps the skills it started with.
- In Claude, upload the new file the same way as the first time: Customize, Plugins, Add, Upload plugin. It takes the place of the old one.
- Start a new chat so it uses the new skills.
- Want updates without uploading? Choose Add marketplace instead of Upload plugin and install howtoai-school.
Claude can’t reach your website, or fails with “it returned a web page”
Why it happens. Your host, a firewall or a security plugin stopped Claude’s request before WordPress saw it.
- Run Test the connection from Getting started.
- Send your host the message it gives you. See Troubleshooting: connecting to your website.
Claude says you have reached your usage limit
Why it happens. Every run uses part of your Claude plan. Daily schedules and full audits use the most.
- Wait for your limit to reset; Claude says when.
- Run the busiest employees less often: in Claude, change their scheduled tasks from daily to weekly.
- Keep one task to one chat. Start a new chat for each new job.
